Artists in the Hospital: In Their Own Words

This short-video series was created to address the frequently asked question of what it’s like for a highly skilled professional artist to work in a hospital setting. The series, entitled Artists in the Hospital: In Their Own Words, does exactly that - three of our artists in residence describe their practice in their own words since each artist works in very individual ways based on their specific discipline. While each is unique, there are universal threads in this work that are rooted in compassion, empathy, and the desire to serve others through the arts. In each of these videos, we see the artist’s capacity to engage, to listen in the moment, to use their skills to provide comfort and transform the hospital experience.
